Project overview

The project involved the renovation of ten industrial units, each suffering from significant roof corrosion and degraded roof lights. These issues were compromising the structural integrity and functionality of the buildings, needing immediate attention. Our team was instructed to first erect scaffolding around each unit, ensuring safe and efficient access to the roofs. Once the scaffolding was securely in place, we proceeded to coat all the roofs with Giromax, a high-performance roof coating known for its exceptional protective properties against corrosion and weathering. This application not only restored the roofs’ durability but also extended their lifespan. Additionally, we replaced the old, degraded roof lights with new, high-quality units, significantly improving the natural lighting within the industrial spaces. This comprehensive approach addressed both the aesthetic and functional deterioration, ultimately revitalising the industrial units and enhancing their usability and value.

Project Challenges

Given that the project site was a bustling, live environment, effective communication with all tenants was paramount to minimise disruption. Our team recognised the importance of maintaining a smooth workflow while ensuring the daily operations of the tenants remained largely unaffected. To achieve this, we implemented a robust communication strategy, keeping tenants informed about the schedule, potential noise levels, and any temporary access restrictions well in advance. This proactive approach ensured that our renovation activities were seamlessly integrated into the tenants’ routines, fostering a cooperative atmosphere and enabling us to carry out the necessary work efficiently and with minimal inconvenience to the site’s occupants.
