Project overview

As part of the recent construction project led by Edgar Taylor at Moulton School, our team was tasked with installing two distinct types of roofing systems: a traditional tiled roof and a modern warm flat roof with a felt build-up. This dual approach was designed to meet both aesthetic and functional requirements of the new buildings.

Project Challenges

The project, while straightforward in its scope, was executed under a tight deadline, requiring meticulous planning and efficient execution. A unique challenge presented by the low pitch of the tiled roof required the use of Planum tiles, known for their suitability in such applications due to their flat profile and interlocking design, which provides enhanced weatherproofing. Despite the time constraints, our team adeptly managed these specific requirements, ensuring that both the aesthetic and functional aspects of the roofing were uncompromised, delivering a high-quality result within the stipulated timeframe.

The combination of tiled roofing and a warm flat roof with felt build-up at Moulton School not only enhances the visual appeal of the new structures but also ensures long-term durability and energy efficiency. Our team’s expertise in handling these diverse roofing systems guarantees that the roofs will withstand the test of time and the elements, providing a safe and comfortable environment for the school’s occupants.
